Kendo (sword martial art) is one of my hobbies (or maybe it's passion at this point!) that I'm actively engaged in right now! I'm a member of the Metro Kendo Club, one of the largest and most established kendo club in the Philippines. I contribute to the club as their social media manager, where I managed to grow our Facebook community from zero to 8.5k followers in less than a year.
Currently ranked at shodan (first degree "black belt" but we don't really have colored belts) and trying to git gud enough to rank up to nidan.
I try to document my keiko (practice) notes in my /now page, and will try to compile them in my digital garden.

From the early years of my career up to now, I try to give back to the design and tech community, who I owe my foundations to. With this mission, I founded/co-founded tech communities, collaborated with others, and spoke in meetups, conferences, and podcasts.

I founded ManilaCSS: aiming to promote CSS best practices, discover what's new, and gather professional and amateur developers to talk about anything under the CSS umbrella.

Dribbble PH: Manila — a Dribbble design community that aims to start conversations and make friends in the creative community through meetups and activities.
Alchemists PH: An Elixir and Erlang Community — Founded by my friend and colleague Ria Cataquian, Alchemists PH focuses on promoting Elixir and Erlang in Manila.
